Growing up in Marlborough on a sheep and beef farm and vineyard along with working on a cropping farm in Western Australia has not only inspired me to further my skills and knowledge at Massey but has also taught me the importance of the different agricultural sectors to the NZ economy and that it all starts with producing high quality sustainable seed and grain.
Producing high quality products is our way of remaining competitive globally and this emphasises the importance of science, technology and new innovations which is of great interest to me.
I would like to thank the NZ Grain and Seed Trade Association for this opportunity, I am very humbled to accept this scholarship and it will be of great help financially.
